& Patio Show
Home improvement ideas and beautifully landscaped gardens welcomed spring at the 18th annual Spring Home & Patio Show at the Denver, Colorado National Western Complex. Exhibits for all types of home improvement projects from interior remodeling and flooring projects to outdoor landscape and decking projects, there were hundreds of ideas for increasing your comfortable living spaces.
The show boasts the “Gardens of Excellence”, the largest indoor garden and landscape exhibit in the region. With 20,000 square feet of landscaped gardens designed by 7 members of the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado featured: hardscapes, stamped concrete, xeriscapes, waterscapes, special landscape lighting, patio furnishing and numerous ideas for outdoor home improvements.

The gardens really gave visitors a realistic view of how the landscaping would look outdoors with perennials and annuals planted in real soil on the stadium arena floor. Extensive decks, walk-ways, concrete patios and gazebos displayed the outdoor comfort that good landscape design and outdoor construction can bring when expanding your living space.
Horticulture specialist, John Cretti, presented “Gardening with an Altitude” where guest could learn about the best ways to garden in the Colorado climate and what to take into consideration during the landscape design phase of a project. Other seminar topics included: “Sod Care Tips”, “Fragrance for the Garden and Home” and “Hanging Baskets & Container Gardens.”
Spring brings landscaping and the outdoors to mind, but the home show had much more to offer than just gardens. Home decorating and remodeling displays for windows, flooring, doors, tile, baths, basement, kitchens and much more were exhibited by hundreds of local contractors. Two contractors on BizziBid.com who participated in the home show were: Window Well Expression, who provide rock shaped coverings for the inside of window wells and window well coverings & Oasis Home Improvement providing the super durable Hardie siding products.

Another major attraction at the home show was the Sogetsu Japanese Flower Arrangements. Mrs. Kyoko Kita, a native of Tokyo, Japan and founder of the Colorado Branch of Sogetsu Ikebana demonstrated the ancient art of flower arranging, used for interior decorating much like paintings and sculptures are used. Works by members of the Colorado Sogetsu School were displayed for visitors to enjoy.
BizziBid’s participation in the Spring Home & Patio Show was a hit with homeowners looking for both exterior and interior home improvement contractors. Our booth design changed significantly in order to make homeowners feel more welcome. Our distribution of 10,000 blow-pops in the show goodie bags with the theme “Don’t BLOW your Budget visit BizziBid.com!” was a huge success in building homeowner awareness.
